La Pomponnée FAQs

La Pomponnée FAQs

General FAQs

Can I bring my children with me?

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the salon UNLESS they are having services themselves. We love them, and many of us have them, however, we have hot and sharp tools, wax, and dangerous situations that could harm them. We are very serious about this policy and unfortunately will need to reschedule your appointment if need be.

Why do prices vary?

As a result of their achievements, our professionals work at various levels.. While prices vary accordingly, every La Pomponnée specialist is constantly improving through ongoing education. Whatever level you seek, you’ll enjoy superior service with a touch to make your day.

Can men go to La Pomponnée?

Yes. In today’s world, men are as fashion-conscious as women and deserve a quality experience. Men can and have experienced all of our services, ranging from haircuts, hair color, and manicures to stress-relieving treatments. Many men also visit us to purchase La Pomponnée gift certificates for their loved ones.

How much should I tip?

Tips are graciously accepted in cash form only and may not be placed on a credit card.

My favorite service providers are always so busy. How can I be sure they are available when it’s convenient for me?

Many of our most popular service providers are industry leaders and maintain a steady clientele. To guarantee an appointment with your favorite provider, simply schedule it well in advance, even if that means scheduling it before leaving the salon. This guarantees availability with your service provider at a date and time that is most convenient to you.

Hair FAQs

If I have had my hair colored at a La Pomponnée location, next time can I use the formula a different at the other location?

Yes, formulas can be traded among our salon spas.

Should I wash my hair before coloring it or getting an updo?

For color services, No. Washing the hair strips away its natural oils. For updos…yes. We prefer freshly clean dry hair. We will add the texture with our products for hold.

Massage FAQs

Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?

Yes. Our therapists are trained in prenatal massage, but doctor’s approval is advisable, especially if you are in your 1st trimester. Please be sure to notify your La Pomponnée therapist before your appointment.

What should I expect when receiving a full body massage?

When arriving for your scheduled massage appointment, you will be greeted by our staff and given full instructions on how to prepare for your massage. Our therapists explain the entire process in detail so that you can make informed decisions regarding your individual preferences and needs for the service to maximize your comfort level.

What should I expect during my massage? Will I be covered?

You will be modestly draped with towels and sheets throughout your massage. However, if you feel more comfortable keeping minimal under garments on, that’s fine. We want you to relax.

Will I have to disrobe entirely?

The degree to which you disrobe can depend on the treatment. Undergarments are generally not necessary. The best way to get the full effect of a massage is to disrobe completely. The staff is trained to drape towels or sheets discreetly over any areas of your body not involved in the treatment and to protect your privacy at all times.

Spa FAQs

How far in advance should I call to schedule an appointment for a full day at the spa?

We recommend that you schedule full day of spa appointments four weeks in advance to be sure you get the date you need.

Do you offer full-day spa packages?

All of our salon and spa services are offered a la carte rather than in packages so you may choose those services that interest you most. A La Pomponnée customer service rep can help you book several appointments together for a full or half day experience and also recommend services that work well together.

This is my first time at a spa. What can I expect?

When you enter, check-in at the reception desk. The Spa coordinator will escort you to the waiting room. We have a small locker Room to change into a robe and spa slippers, if you wish. Or you can opt to change in the treatment room.

You will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire. This will allow the therapist to know a little about your medical background. Please note that all information is strictly confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of your treatment. Take a few moments to relax and unwind. When it’s time for your service the service provider will escort you to the treatment room. They give you instructions and will then leave the room and you will have an opportunity to disrobe and situate yourself on the treatment table under a sheet and blanket. Your body will be covered at all times during the treatment, with the exception of the part of your body the specialist is treating. This will be exposed briefly for treatment and then re-covered.

How early should I arrive for my treatment?

We highly recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

Is there anything I should avoid prior to a spa treatment?

We recommend that you refrain from eating within one hour prior to receiving massage or a body treatment. Alcoholic beverages should not be consumed before any spa treatment. We ask that you do not shave your legs within 24 hours of receiving a body treatment.

Can the spa accommodate group bookings?

Definitely! Just give us the details and we will put together a package that suits your needs! Be sure to notify your group coordinator in advance if you would like any special arrangements such as a catered lunch. A 20% service charge will be added to private parties of six or more. Based on the size of the party, an additional spa fee may apply.
